About concert

In the first part of the concert we will hear a contemporary piece “Sine Titulo”, specially composed for the concert by the conductor and music director Szymon Sutor.

In the second part of the concert we will hear Requiem – A. Schnittke combined with the presentation of images closely related to the dramaturgy of music.

In addition, the foyer of ICE will feature an exhibition of original specially selected paintings by Zdzislaw Beksinski from the Historical Museum in Sanok. The exhibition can be viewed from 7 pm during the intermission of the concert and after the concert until 10:00 pm.

About Beksinski

Beksiński is one of the most popular Polish contemporary painters. His art always arouses great interest and emotions. He created his paintings in constant contact with music. Alfred Schnittke was one of the most frequently mentioned composers. He was a huge fan of Alfred Schnittke’s music.

Hence the idea of showing Beksiński’s paintings in an integral connection with music, which gives the viewer the opportunity to deepen emotional impressions.

The ICE Krakow Congress Center is a business and cultural landmark of the city. Located in the heart of Krakow, it allows the organization of a variety of events: from international congresses to cultural events such as concerts, opera, theater and ballet performances.
